Many aspiring dog groomers spend 6-12 months in training programs only to discover they’re still not employable. Why? Because they’ve had limited (if any) hands-on experience with real dogs in a real salon environment.
The Dog Dazzlers’ 4-week intensive course puts you in front of real dogs from day one. With our 2:1 student-to-trainer ratio, you’ll receive personalised guidance while developing practical skills that make you immediately employable.
The Dog Dazzlers began as Sam’s Dog Grooming, a home-based business founded after training with award-winning groomer Melanie Newman. As demand grew, we rebranded and became the leading grooming team for a major pet store across Australia and New Zealand.
In 2017, we opened our purpose-built Burwood facility, offering one of the country’s most unique dog grooming and daycare experiences. Our journey from a home laundry to a premier grooming facility has given us unique insights into what it takes to succeed in this industry – insights we’re eager to share with our students.

Comprehensive Curriculum
Covering everything from breed-specific trims to pet handling, we prepare you for success in the grooming industry through our carefully designed 10-module program.
Our program consists of 20 full days of on-campus training, designed to be an immersive and comprehensive learning experience.
Our intensive program covers essential skills from safety and handling to specialised grooming techniques for different breeds and coat types.
While previous animal handling experience is highly recommended for the best outcome, it is not a strict requirement. We welcome passionate beginners and career-changers.
Pre-reading and a pet first aid course (all included in the course) must be completed before attending.
